INSTRUCTIONS FOR BANANA & PINEAPPLE – No. 5
To newly planted single banana sucker apply fertilizer at rate of 450 g. per plant. After planting when sucker is well rooted and growing make first application by sprinkling on soil in a 2ft. radius circle, and lightly forking in round sucker. Next application in 4 months at rate of 450 g per plant. To established clumps apply fertilizer at rate of 1 1/2-2 kg per clump per time at approx. 4–5-month intervals.
To newly planted pineapple suckers make first application about 1 month after planting, when sucker is well rooted and growing. Subsequent application at rate of 45 g, per plant forked in lightly on surface soil. When plants are bigger apply fertilizer at rate of about 75-100 g per plant per time. Repeat at 4 month intervals, by throwing fertilizer into axils or lower leaves, carefully avoiding contamination of tender leaves on
